To share a drive or folder:
- In Local Area Connection Properties, ensure that "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" is checked.
- In Folder Options, View tab, ensure that "Use simple file sharing" is turned off.
- Get Properties on the folder or drive and enable Sharing.
- Under "Permissions", remove the "Everyone" group. Add the desired username.
Only the a user with the same username/password will be granted access to this share.
